A while back I wrote about a great free tool called WiFi Guard
that lets you know if anyone is piggybacking on your Wi-Fi network.
This is a must-have tool for anyone who maintains a Wi-Fi network at
home or at the office.
But what if you need to know how many devices are currently using someone else’s network that you might happen to be connected to? There are a number of reasons why this info might be useful, but how do you find out without being the owner/manager of the network?
Well, one easy way is to use an awesome free app called Fing Network Tools. Just download the app to your Android device and run it. Almost immediately you’ll be presented with a list of all the devices that are connected to the network you’re using at the time.
The Fing app will display the name of the network as well as the IP address and MAC address of every device that’s currently connected to it. Check out the screenshot below:
There’s a ton of other useful info that can be mined with Fing as well. You’ll find the free Fing Network Tools app in the Google Play Store.
